Hello fellow drummers! This is how I learn new songs:

When I learn new songs, I listen to them over and over until I know the basic layout.  After that, I try it on my drums and play it over and over until I get it.  Sometimes if I can’t get it, I put it down for a while and focus on some other stuff, and then I go back and try it again.  Usually I can get it, but if I still can’t, I look for a drum music book on the internet. 

So, that’s how I approach learning a new song.  This doesn’t work for everybody, but it could work for you!!
